Isle of Wight

Remembrance Service

Sunday 11th November gathering at 10.45 am

A traditional Service of Remembrance to commemorate the 100th Anniversary of the Armistice that brought World War 1 to an end.

We Will Remember Them

Join us in All Saints at 5.30 pm for a special programme of music, readings and poems from 100 years ago, led by members of the Newchurch community including the primary school and other groups.

Afterwards there will be refreshments in the hall where personal mementoes of the Great War will be on display.

At 6.55 pm beacons around the Island will be lit
and all the church bells will ring out as they did in 1918.

Please come and join us and help to keep Lawrence Binyon’s promise “We will remember them”
